Angry Recall woes

I'm taking my '21 xlt in for a blank infotainment screen (couldn't get an appointment until December26 from local dealer so having to travel 45 miles to the next dealer for a September19th appointment) and asked if they would be taking care of any of the recalls during my visit. Their answer is no, I would have to make a separate appointment and those are like 4 months out. Anybody else run into this?

I guess these long wait times for appointments are a regional thing. In my area my last appointment to do recalls was a 2 week wait.

I have yet been able to schedule an appointment for recalls. The 2 closest dealers just say "we can't get parts so we can't do it." Not sure if it is just them saying that to put all of us off so they can do non-warranty work or what. I'm doing a 30k service soon and I will try again to get them scheduled.

Well, good luck. One of my recalls doesn't even require parts replacement but a software update for the trailer brake controller and they still refuse. I'm guessing it's kind of important since I do tow a travel trailer with my f150. I guess safety recalls aren't really that important after all.
