Default Rear camera button stopped working

When I’m stopped, in drive, or in park—it makes no difference. The rear camera button no longer turns on the camera. Anyone have this happen on their truck?

Nope.

Hopefully you're still in the B-to-B warranty coverage.

I’m still in the b2b period. I’ve read on Reddit that it might be an ota update side effect. The camera works when in reverse so I doubt it’s a major problem

Mine is just like that. Works fine in reverse but won't work when stopped and you push the button. Been like that for about 6 months and no OTA update fixed it yet. Guess I'll have to take it in for that to be fixed and have recalls addressed.

Dealer update will fix the button operation. It quit after a over the air update glitch. They will also possibly change out the wiper motor on a recall and check rear axle wiring for damage and relocate some wires there. All done to my 2021 trucks

Finally brought it into the dealer to fix this problem. Dealer is making me pay the extended warranty deductible. I called ford, no luck. I am not happy. They broke, they should fix it.

My dealer tried all sorts of things to fix mine, and then ordered a new button... I haven't had them install it yet. I got my first OTA update in months and unfortunately it didn't fix it either.

The physical button still works - if you hit it at speed it says 'not available', but it doesn't work at low speeds which drives me crazy. It was definitely software that broke it too, and I can't convince them to do any updates (apparently they don't get paid by Ford to do them...)
