Default Random 21 Questions

Hey all, got my new to me 21 a couple weeks ago, been pretty happy with it, a few quirks I've been wondering about...

The temperature controls have the digital display on the ****, does that number really mean anything? Like is the climate control trying to maintain the cabin temp at that temp or is that what's coming out the vent? I ask because at the moment from 60-85 there's just 1 temp coming out the vent, screaming hot. But if I lower the **** to Low, then it will cool off. Didn't know if once the cabin temp increased then the air coming out of the vents would cool off or if I legit have a problem. It is winter here in Iowa.

Second I really like how when I select a drive mode and shut the truck off, when I start the truck next time it asks to return to that drive mode. But sometimes it asks, sometime it doesn't. Is there a certain condition that has to take place for it to ask?

Third, sometimes when I put it in park, it engages the parking brake, but not all the time. I tow a trailer daily, sometimes it does it with the trailer, which would be nice if it did it every time honestly, or sometimes without the trailer. Now today it didn't do it at all. Is there a condition that needs to be meet for it to set the parking brake automatically?

Thanks in advance!

Temp on dials is on the 21MY only and is the setting for cabin temp not vent temp. Put your climate control on auto set your temp and let the vehicle do what it does.
Selector should prompt each time. Mine did not until dealer had to update a module for the transmission and in doing so had to update others as well. From that point on mine prompts each drive cycle.
Park brake auto should be found as a setting in your centre dash screen.
