Default Pro tail gate latch not working

I have a brand new 2025 king ranch from the factory. The swing door latch will not release, the primary latch does release. The truck has been at the dealer for a week and still no resolution to the issue. The service department states they have been going back and forth with the ford engineers but still not fixed. Anyone ever see this issue??

Hopefully they figure it out. It's where it needs to be. Let us know the outcome.

At this point I am finding it completly unbelievable that it has been a week and it has not been fixed.

Default Fixed

The truck has been fixed today. The tech further inspected the wiring harness from BCM to tailgate, found related harness to the tailgate not listed in the wiring diagram. Followed and tested all wires and plugs, found plug C4002 not fully seated from the factory. Secured the plug properly and all tested OK.

That doesn't surprise me. Years ago on my '01 a few months after purchase new the whole electrical system was pulsing. Had it to the same dealer 5 times. They just threw parts at it the first few times until the 5th time. The tech discovered the the plug in the back of one of the fuse blocks was loose from the factory. I believe they are bolted in. And that took care of the pulsing.
