Default Pro Power 2KW Defaults to ON

I searched for the answer to this, but found nothing. Forgive me if I missed it.

I've had my truck since October 2021. 3.5 EcoBoost. Pro Power 2KW.
As far as I can tell, the Pro Power always defaults to ON when you start the engine. One time, and one time only, while out on a drive, I turned OFF the Pro Power on my Sync 4 screen. I then drove home, probably 15 - 20 miles with it off.
The next morning, I tried to start my truck, received a warning message on the dash stating that battery was low and to start the engine. The engine would not even crank. I ended up having to jump start it from another vehicle. This is the only time that my engine would not start. That was about 3 months ago. The battery has been fine ever since, with no issues. However, I have not shut off the Pro Power since then.

My understanding is that the Pro Power system has a separate generator/alternator, and should have nothing to do with the engine battery.

My questions for you guys that know a lot more about this than I do are: Could I have caused my battery issue by shutting off the Pro Power? What do you guys do.......just let it run all the time? Maybe my truck is the only one that defaults to ON? Does the Pro Power being on all the time affect fuel mileage?

Thanks in advance for any information. I browse through this forum everyday.......there is so much knowledge.

I see no one has responded. I am interested in this as well as I have a truck on order with 2K pro power. I am scheduled for production end of June so I can provide feedback in a couple of months.

I'm going to bump this with hopes that I can get a couple of comments.
Is the Pro Power default setting "ON".
Does it cause any battery problems if you immediately turn it off and drive with it off.

Thanks again.

The 2kW ProPower in non-hybrid trucks defaults to on, sand as far as I know, there's no way to change that. There shouldn't be any effects to your truck turning it off if you aren't using it.

Thanks imnuts for the reply. Perhaps I'll haul my jump charger around with me for a little while, and try shutting the ProPower off. It seems strange to me to have that running all of the time when it is not being used.
