Default Powerboost tune is here

I have this tune on my Powerboost. Have seen 100 hp gain and speed limiter removed

Because I don't drive on a dyno very often.

....also, it's easier to do than slapping on a dyno, no one has done it, horsepower claims are just that, and most of the people who have more than 3 posts say the truck isn't much quicker.

Healthy skepticism you could call it.

I'd like to see the same for any "performance" mod, particularly the Whipple tunes as well.

Well since mine was one of the first they tuned and I drive it every day, the tune made a huge difference.

What specifically did you feel was missing from the Powerboost that the tune has helped with?

If something happens engine wise , will Ford void my warranty? Or will they be able to differentiate if its something else ?

From previous discussions on this forum starting with the 2015 EcoBoost the general consensus was/is that Ford:
-Does monitor changes to configuration (including Forscan.) So even if you set it back to factory Ford can review change logs and possibly deny a claim.
-If a modification can be traced back to a failure then, there is a high probability that Ford will deny the warranty claim.
-If a tuned truck is taken to Ford service they may A. not work on it if its engine/tranny related B. reprogram back to factory (highly unlikely) C. give it back to you so they are not liable.

So I waited until my 2015 F150 3.5 was out of factory warranty and I played with different tunes. Saw definite improvements and new issues as a result of the update. One of the tunes needed exhaust and intake upgrades which I wasn't willing to cash out for.
Ultimately, I set it back to factory and bought a 2018 3.5EB w/more HP. :-)
