Default PowerBoost and Transmission Behavior?

I have really liked my new F-150 Plat, though I have noticed some odd behavior. I never owned a Hybrid or a F-150, so this is a first for me. On occasion maybe every few drives I feel a noticeable harder shift than normal. Sometimes when I pull out and give it a lot of power I see the RPM go up, though it feels sluggish. Anyone else see this? It doesn't do it all the time, just noticeable, when it does occur.

I’m starting to think that engineers designed this truck to be driven as calmly and smoothly as possible. When doing it that way it drives great and gets outstanding gas mileage. However, yes you’re correct. Drive it like you stole it and it is an unpleasant experience. Not smooth at all.

The MPG meter puts me in a competitive mood that does make me me drive like a grandpa. Though it doesn't always hesitate, when I do gun it.

I’m told that each of the drive modes adjust to your driving habits over time. I have found on my Powerboost that driving in Normal mode is smoother than driving in Eco mode. Trailer/Haul mode and Sport mode definitely shift differently. To enjoy the awesome acceleration, I occasionally push the accelerator to the floor on a freeway access ramp and it has always shifted smoothly between 20 and 75.

i agree when it’s in normal mode. But when in sport mode it’s very responsive.
