Default Powerboost stuck in accessory mode

I have had my 2023 powerboost for almost 2 months and have not had any issues. Got into my truck this morning and hit the start button but the shifter would not go into reverse. I then noticed the truck was in accessory mode. The green light on the start/stop button was also blinking. No matter what I did I could not get the engine started nor could I turn the truck off. I was stuck in accessory mode.

Finally went back into the house and to do some research online and see if this was a known problem and at the same time I hoped that by letting the car sit in park that after a while the truck would turn itself off. Looking online I found others having a similar problem but never was able to find any reasons for it or solutions.

After about 20 minutes the truck turned off on its own and I was able to start it up and it has run fine all day since.

Just wondering if anyone has heard of this issue and maybe know of a cause. Not sure if it’s a problem with the truck or if I did something to cause it.

Thanks for any help!

If it does it again, fold the shifter and then unfold it. I have found that if I let it go into park automatically, it causes some weird issues.

Did you hold the brake pedal?

I can’t say for sure whether I did or didn’t. It’s a routine to just get in the truck and start it up without thinking about it.

Why? You think that might have something to do with it?

I’m sorry, what do you mean by “fold the shifter”?

if your shifter is in the center and not on the column, it will fold flat.

Truck got stuck in accessory mode again after a 5 minute stop to pump gas. I folded the shifter down and brought it back up. Immediately after doing that the truck started.

My check engine light came on with the startup and stayed on for a couple hours then disappeared. That was about 4 days ago.
