I just traded in my 2015 F-150 2.7L XL that I heavily modified with different features from this forum for a 2021 F150 502A Powerboost.
I was researching on this site to on the best method to delete the Powerboost annoying speaker. I am comfortable with Forscan but didn't want to get this route. The bypass plug will be easier to remove. I ended with going with the speaker delete plug from Custom Gizmo. I like their version as it was $5 cheaper and included a (2) connectors such that the speaker connector is not exposed to the elements in case you want to plug it back in.
For install, I removed the lower intercooler support bracket from beneath the car and was able to reach in and remove the factory connector to the speaker. It took me longer to to find the right size socket for the bracket than install. 5 minutes total. After install, no DTCs or alerts on the dash with installed.
Just out of curiosity, what's the reason you'd want to delete a speaker?
For vehicles that can drive on electric alone, it's the low speed pedestrian alert speaker that's required. Some of them are pretty annoying and, at least in the F150, aren't louder than the tire noise associated with any vehicle driving at low speeds. I've disconnected mine as well with a delete kit.
