Default Powerboost - Procedure to Force Engine to Keep Running for Service?

I know you can change drive modes to tow/haul and/or sport and more or less force the gas engine to run all the time while driving. However, I think these 2 modes will still shut the engine off if the truck isn't moving or you put the truck in park.

Maybe I'm losing my mind but at some point I swear I came across some sort of "service" procedure to force the engine to stay on while it is parked. One of those push-the-accelerator-5-times-flash-the-lights-8-times-clap-your-hands kinda things.

I've been searching here and on google for 30 minutes and I can't seem to find this.

Am I nuts? Did I actually see this somewhere?

If so, if anyone knows this procedure, please let me know. I want to check transmission fluid level and I need the engine to stay running.

I tried searching, but did not find anything conclusive. I’m sure there is a way. Is there a little sensor on the starting battery to monitor amperage / draw? Often people unplug this to disable stop / start without access to Forscan.

If you don’t have to be in park select tow/haul, neutral, manual trans mode, e brake. This will keep it idling and you can exit vehicle without it going back to park when door is opened. I use this to cool the turbos a bit after towing when I get where I’m going before full shut down.

Tried that linked procedure a few times from the other website. I cannot get it to work.

When I do the last accelerator press the engine fires up but then will rev to redline. I can't imagine that is correct.

PB2021... I think I do have to be in Park to check the trans fluid, unfortunately. I'm not sure if neutral is acceptable for the procedure.

Hopefully I'm ok on fluid level. Let the truck on, but it was idling in electric. Checked the fluid and was just below level 3 at 210F. My understanding is between 3 and 4 so hopefully good.

Unless you really do need the engine running in order to do this correctly.
