I like the F150 with Heavy Duty Payload Package or HDPP. It limits you to an XLT but provides unbelievable payload in a half ton truck. Attached is a payload sticker from a truck I am looking at now...This will get me into a lighter Alaskan 6.5 hardside popup and allow weight capacity for occupants and gear and a 150 pound tongue weight from the Lund. All I have to do is get the cash for all these things lol!

Thats a nice big number….my HDPP arrives next week and I’m excited to see what my sticker says. I got the 3.5 EB, so won’t be any help to OP though.

Roger that. This number is off a 2021 with the 3.5. I am dickering with them on the price of $55K. It has most of what I want except tailgate step and sliding rear window. Congratulations on your new order!!! What did you get in terms of options? I can't wait to see a pic of your truck and hope to learn about your experiences including payload, handling, mpgs, etc.
Thanks so much! I am excited for you!

Default Payload 22 F150 PB Lariat Supercrew 4x4 5.5 bed

Background, we have a 3.5 EB Lariat SuperCrew short bed with max tow that has 1685 maximum payload according to the door sticker. With the weight distribution hitch, tonneau, and family on board, plus trailer tongue weight, CAT Scale puts us about 150 pounds to GVWR (7000#) so going a lot lower on payload is not going to work.
We have tried to find a Powerboost and look at a payload door sticker at (now up to 5) dealers, but nobody has one on the lot.
Is anyone willing to share their Powerboost payload number from their truck? I know that trim level affects the payload number.
Thanks in advance.
Payload sticker is 1575. Options include 501a package, 20 inch wheels, 7.2 kw pro power, sport, 360 view, power tow mirrors. Avoided heavy stuff like moonroof (63#), skid plate on offroad package (40#), power liftgate (45#), and spray in liner (42#). Still a very luxurious truck to tow a 7000 lb trailer when fully loaded with about 900 lbs hitch weight. 2 adults, no toys in the bed of the truck. GVWR is 7350 for this model I believe. I found info on a pdf from Ford on the weight of options, but it took some digging. My calculation was 1582 when I ordered in September, so pretty close to the 1575 delivered in January.

Gents thanks for sharing all your data on this thread! I learn so much from all of you. Like the OP , I am looking at two 2021 F150 SuperCrews with HDPP and thus a 2500 plus yellow sticker. The problem is they are only XLT mid which is fine but no hybrid offering or power fold mirrors or heated seats lol! Never thought I needed anything more than an XL and now I am whining. I really hope Ford expands the Power Boost concept of regenerative braking and a 2-5 KW battery pack. It would be perfect for so many of us to include my desire for a truck that can handle a very small 1600 pound wet and loaded truck camper and a little fishing boat behind it. Given the typical truck on a dealer lot I am forced into an F250 or F350 platform unless I go HDPP to account for two passengers, the 1600 pound wet and loaded camper weight and 200 pounds tongue weight. While going up in rig size is a good thing for safety it just doesn't make sense for me to do day to day driving in a HD. Guess that is why I should keep my mint 2004 Ranger XLT extended cab lol!

Ecoheavy,
Love the look of your rig and wondering how you like the onboard scales and how easy or hard are they to use? I would love that feature!! And any feedback on your mpgs yet?
Thanks
Rich

The scales have given me peace of mind when loading up my trailer or bed to ensure I’m within spec. I’ve yet to really get close to maxing out, even in towing around 9,000lbs. They are very straightforward to use, either on the touchscreen or via the app. The truck rides and tows great, absolutely zero complaints - so happy I went with the HDPP over the 250 gasser. My average MPG’s while not towing are just under 18, about 70% city and 30% highway on flat land in FL (I am admittedly heavy-footed when driving unladen). While towing, I’m right at 10.2 MPG using regular gas, in tow/haul mode, and locking out the overdrive gears. The truck is solid while pulling and can easily hit 70+ mph if needed.

Eco Heavy,
Thanks for the quick reply! But darn it now you make me want a truck with the scales option! I find myself paying to weigh the truck several times a year when I load up so I was thinking this would be a great option! Interestingly enough I used Autotrader to find a used 2021 HDPP at an Atlanta dealer...looks just like yours, which I think is beautiful. I assume your paint color is that carbon gray? Well now I just might have to special order a new one lol!

I’ve seen guys on the forum say that they can’t order the max tow package right now, which is required with the HDPP. If you’re willing to wait for a ‘22 with scales, go for it, but I have a feeling it’s going to be a hot minute before you ever see it. If the ‘21 in Atlanta has everything else you’d want besides the scales, id say pull the trigger…the scales are nice to have, but not nice enough to justify waiting 6-8 months, IMHO

And yes, I got carbonized gray
