I plan on hand calculating this tank to see what my actual numbers are vs what the truck is telling me. As of right now I’m supposedly getting 24.5 mpg on this tank, and I just made a short trip back from the dentist and the truck says I got over 35mpg. It was mostly downhill on the highway with lots of traffic so I was able to coast quite a bit on nothing but the battery. I was also blasting ac the entire way, I’m blown away with this trucks efficiency.
I am anxious to see what I'll get. I get around 29 to 30 mpg in my Silverado with 5.3 V8 and 4x4. The V8 has cylinder deactivation but I have to be really light on the gas pedal for that to work and I stay on the very right lane on a five-lane highway here in Orange County to achieve that gas mileage. The PowerBoost doesn't have cylinder deactivation so I don't think it'll get good highway gas mileage compared to my current V8, but I know I will be doing a whole lot better in cities. My average mpg so far is 21 mpg.

my corvette is the same - drops to 4 cal so on highway I get over 30MPG doing 80MPH - but just dont start and stop to much - drops to 6MPG so my average is 24MPG -

Yeah but your results are skewed because you don't drive like others. You're a road hazard for sake of saving fuel.
The mileage thing seems to be all over the place on PBs. My average on the last two tanks of fuel was 18.9 which is up sharply since I took delivery of her. That's with highway only being 25% of my miles, mostly doing the speed limit and doing my best to stay out of the boost. Of course she's at the dealer now after throwing a series of intermittent powertrain faults over the weekend culminating now sounding like a series of playing cards stuck in bicycle spokes. Service advisor says they won't be able to even read the codes until the end of next week.
9,000 miles on the odometer in 10 months and now its a paperweight. Makes me miss my '18.
Same here, I go below the speed limit when there are hills. I also go above the speed limit when I am going downhill. On a drive from sea level to sea level (Monarch Beach to Long Beach Port), I achieved 31.8 mpg. The average speed for the whole trip was 50 mph for the 50-mile drive, 10% city and 90% highway. The city was slow and I had the cruise control set at 63 on the highway where the speed limit fluctuates from 55 mph to 65 mph and back. I think 63 mph is the magic number, go above that and gas mileage decreases a lot more. I am VERY, VERY happy with my PowerBoost!
Yeah the PB is pretty great overall. Sometime someone will say X engine gets similar mileage in some condition, but that is only half the equation since the PB is more powerful than most of the engines in any 1/2 ton truck, has pretty amazing capabilities as a generator, and when the engine shuts off while you are stopped it keeps running the A/C, making it ideal for hot weather without giving up auto start/stop fuel savings. It's just the best all-around.
Plus, if you compare the price of a 3.5L EB w/ 36 gallon tank and Max Tow to a PowerBoost, the price difference is (or was, I haven't checked for '23 numbers) about $800. You get a 30 gallon tank instead of 36, so it isn't apples to apples I admit, but for the benefits it's an easy check box since most seem to order the 36 gallon tank and locking rear axle anyway, and the locking axle, and larger (but not largest) fuel tank come with the PB.
I had two 2.7L EB trucks that could do 22-24 MPG highway, but were just "okay" in the city since they relied on boost so much. The PB has consistently seen mid 24MPG on long highway trips at 70-73 MPH, and in city driving I often see 23-26 MPG, and that is in a higher population suburban area with plenty of traffic lights and traffic in general. Going with the PB was a last minute decision as I was placing the order, I was going for another 2.7L up to the 11th hour. And I don't regret it even a little bit.
