Hey all, I have a 2021Powerboost that now has 70,000 miles. Really like the truck and probably moving towards another one in less than a year, due to the hybrid power train and options on the KR trim.
Unfortunately I've had a few issues due to the powertrain malfunction/reduced power fault on my ford app.
First time the message was received was about 35,000 miles ago and when I took it to the dealership, they indicated that an engine power module had to be replaced. I didn't jump on the fix right away and it seemed to come on sporadically over the next few months. When I did take it in for a recall (can't "recall" what it was for) it went away and milage improved immediately.
Now the malfunction message is back and I'm "feeling" a slight grinding/resistance noise from the gas pedal, it doesn't seem to be affected by braking/driving dynamics etc
It seems like it also getting slightly worse.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what the outcome was, I'm scheduling a dealership visit and will update once it's looked at.
Would the regenerative braking be in the front?
Cheers and keep on Power boosting!

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was one of the iwe failing on it like the previous gen trucks dealt with. They changed them to electric instead of vacuum operated for 21 but still had issues with them. I’m pretty sure my 21 is having that happen now since I have noticed a similar grinding as what was happening with my dads 16 that had a bad passenger side iwe. Goes away when in 4x4

I also have the same problem on a 2024 f-150 platinum plus, did they solve your problem?
I had to put neoprene shoes on the pedal.

Hello there! Are you still experiencing this concern with your powerboost grinding? If so, I would like to look into it on my end. Please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer.
