I think the PowerBoost models deserve their own section. How do I communicate my request with the administrators?

I don't even have a PB but tend to agree.

You can send a DM to administrator, copying the moderators (by user name).

Apart from the transmission, battery and inverter what’s different? What problems do you see that cry out for a dedicated section?

should pro power equipped vehicle owners go there or here?

So put me in the “not convinced “ Category.

This isn't the first thread stating this and they even had a vote I think and the answer was no.

As was stated above, there isn't that much different and its own forum is a bad idea. I say that as a happy PowerBoost owner. What deserves its own category? Pro-Power (in a more limited form, granted) is available in other engine combos, fuel mileage is a fairly unique stand out but by that metric the 3.3L and Diesel should get their own forums as they offer fuel mileage that is higher than the more "mass" selling engines like the 2.7L and 5.0L. All accessories that work on the other engines work on the PB trucks. What exactly do you think would be discussed that the rest of the F-150 crew wouldn't benefit from?

Idea doesn't make sense. 98% of the truck is the same as the rest, and the 2% that is different doesn't have enough to warrant multiple threads of discussion. "The PB has a motor and large battery", alright back to the other forum I guess!

Your post answers itself. What's different about the transmission I wonder? What inverter are you speaking of? How many batteries does it actually have? If you said 3 you would be correct. Good lord. The PB powertrain is so different, the forum as a whole is struggling to accurately describe how it functions.

2%? How many coolant loops are there? Does it have an alternator? What kind of AC compressor does it use? How does the 12v AGM battery get charged? Does it use the AC compressor to cool the high voltage lithium battery pack? What about the battery under the rear passenger side seat? I could go on and on, but the PB is much more than 2% different than an EB. The fact that I have to say this proves it needs it's own space.

Thanks! I'm new to forums in general. How do I find the administrator and moderators?

I think you're going to start seeing a broader range of HEV and PHEV F150 applications in the future, we don't need a different forum for all of them. The 3.5L was the first, but I would honestly expect the 2.7L to follow suit next. How about the 3.3L with a hybrid and Pro Power? There's your amazing functional stripper work truck with great fuel economy. The Lightning has it's own forum, but aside from the fact that it shares an F150 body, it's pretty much a completely different vehicle. You'll also see that posts in that forum are fairly infrequent due to the low population of those trucks.

Of the 20 threads visible on my screen in this forum, only 1 pertains exclusively to the Powerboost. That doesn't warrant a separate forum in my opinion.

So what? Those things have been discussed on here and you can't make an entire section of conversation on those topics, that's the point.

It's also not more than 2% different than an EB in pure part count. And I bet you can't go on and on.

Plus if we play the game you are trying to play...

How does the cylinder deactivation work in the 5.0? Why doesn't the 3.5L use it? What is DEF in the Diesel 3.0 F-150s? (Before anyone does, I don't need answers to those things, they are just examples)

These are questions you can bring up for any engine combo as they almost all have unique characteristics. Even the 2.7L and 3.5L have entirely different engine block material. So no, you bringing it up doesn't prove it needs its own space because you aren't the first to bring those things up and I know the answer to ALL of them because they have been discussed to death on this forum. It doesn't need more clutter.

There is a forum here specifically for questions and suggestions for the site. It’s located here. From my experience one of the main admins in that forum, ymeski56 is very responsive and awesome.
