PowerBoost Engine Idle Speed
When at a stop with the engine idling, it is idling typically at 800 rpm and it feels quite rough. Same is true if sitting in my driveway in Park and the engine cycles on to maintain air conditioning. Is this the typical idle speed for this engine?
I experience this sometimes also. I have the high idle mode on and most of the times it idles around 1300 or so for fast charging, but occasionally it runs rough at 800. Not often enough where it really bothers me, but I am surprised how rough it is at that speed and was thinking about asking dealer about it at next service appt.
I have the same thing. You may get a slight improvement with the PCM updates that are available, but most likely not. I think it's just a slightly more rough RPM in the band. Every automatic vehicle I've ever driven has done vibration when stopped and in drive or reverse, but the F-150 is probably the worst. If I know I'm going to be sitting someplace for a little and the engine will be running during that time, I just shift to neutral until I'm ready to move.

That would just make the truck idle around 800 RPM all the time and wouldn't do anything for the OP's complaint.
