Powerboost Braking
I was wondering how the regen charging on the Powerboost worked. When I'm within the green charging window, is the truck using the brake pads? I know it charges quicker that way than just rolling to a stop, but I don't want to run through pads if it's using them.
I prefer downshifting and hate using up brakes.. even braking and being within 100% of the "return" on energy, you're still using brake pads. I only brake to trigger the electric motor.

The answer is kind of. If you are in the green then you are using the full regen capability of the truck. I will say, after following it on FORScan, that regen braking can recapture about 3-4X times as fast than coasting. It's a pretty significant difference.
Pads are super cheap for the most part.
