Default Power adjustable pedals

Oddball question:

Power adjustable pedals; do they go further away from the driver than the stock pedal position? Or just from the stock pedal position and closer to the driver?

They also move closer. Mostly designed for smaller drivers.

I'm 6'-2" and I see no benefit to them. They are helpful for shorter people, helps keep their upper body further away from the steering wheel.

Well, you could have a very tall upper body and short, stumpy legs...

I can't tell you what the from the factory position is. They move forward and backward, and are designed as DannyboyUpstate said, to keep shorter people further away from the steering wheel because they airbag would hit them really hard.

My 2013 XLT has them, we never adjust them, but my wife has very long legs, and also drives the truck infrequently, and also would never remember the function exists...
