I'm a Newbie, and posted about my new-to-me 2021 F150 XL's tailgate which does not lock. I took the cover off the tailgate and exposed the mechanical latch and associated wiring for the backup camera. To my surprise, I also discovered an unterminated electrical connection? Has anyone here been inside their tailgate? And might be able to tell/show me where this wire connects inside your tailgate. Thanks.

It should plug into the end of the latch.

The loose wire in my tailgate plugged into the male terminal on my door latch. My tailgate latches/locks automatically via my remote! The long ordeal is over. Lots of naysayers said it could not be done. Thank you!!!
