Question Phantom EnTune screen failures

Have a 2021 F150 XLT Supercrew with the large Entune entertainment screen. Screen will randomly either (a) go very dim or (more frequently) go completely dark while driving. This can happen after making a hard 90 degree corner or hitting some kind of bump (like a railroad crossing). Seems to be happening more frequently. Radio will keep playing and can change volume using steering wheel controls. Touch screen will be dead when screen goes dark. Dealer says they'll look at it but have to leave the truck with them and won't be able to look at it for at least a week. To me, it sounds like a loose connection somewhere, but not sure where to start.

Entune is a Toyota System...this is a Ford Forum. I assume you mean Sync?

That being said, take it to the dealer. Could be many things/connections. Could be something internal to the screen. Could be a simple connector, either way you are taking your dash apart, and you should leave that to the pros on your new truck.

Are you accidentally touching the brightness button or covering the light sensor?

I had this happen with my truck a few weeks ago while driving; screen flickered a few times, alternating with going black for a few seconds. Looked like a hardware or connection issue, rather than a software glitch. Audio continued to play without interruption. Whole episode lasted less than 30 seconds, and has not repeated. I’ll ask the dealer when I take it in for the underbody insulation recall (and blue cruise update!) if they have seen it and are aware of a particular issue, but I’m a little reluctant to ask them to start tearing the head unit apart looking for a random loose connection if the issue can’t be reproduced.
