Is there a way to tell if an OTA update has been successfully installed? The Engine/Climate update took several tries to download. It finally downloaded but the details showed installation did not complete. The dealer said the update was received but the software update details still reported incomplete installation. Of course now I received the "bogus" Bluecruise 1.4 update which is reported as successful so I can no longer see anything about the previous update.

The FordPass app will tell if updates were completed and when.

 

If it said "not completed" it does mean the OTA failed for one reason or another. I can check with the VIN what the failure message was, but it is a moot point now. There is nothing you can do but wait for it to be resent and hope for better luck next time.

 

At least on mine you can force the truck to update now. It doesn't always work but it is worth a try.
