Default Ordered in August 2021 - So Frustrated

I'll start out with a big UGHH... I was pushed to order a 2021 (platinum) before September 1 so that I can get some rebates and have delivery in 12 to 14 weeks.

Obviously that didn't happen, I was called in October because they had to bump me to a 2022 but I would be entitled to a $3500 rebate. I was told I would not lose my place and I would have delivery in about 6 weeks.

Obviously that didn't happen. I have no further information. No vin number, no build date, nothing. And the attitude is what gets me the most, I am told that there is nothing anyone can do to move it along or even get any information and don't call us we'll call you.

I am retiring at the end of this month. I ordered in August and I made the wrong assumption that I would have the vehicle well before I retired. I was planning on getting a boat and need to tow which is not something I can do with my current car. So frustrated.... (sorry to vent)

I ordered on July 2, 2021 and recently got my VIN and build date. Up until that, pretty much nothing. So hang in there. Once you get a VIN your whole mentality about this thing tends to change. I went from a "I'm never going to get my truck" mentality to shopping for truck accessories in one day.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Whiskey. And I am sure you are right and when I see people that have ordered months after me taking delivery, that is just some "truck envy" I am having.
Also I am sure the attitude from the dealership is out of frustration on their part as I am not alone with this issue. They probably have to deal with it all day long.

All that being said, I wish there was something I can do as I want my truck! LOL

I think the higher trims are getting more delays.

More features = more parts that can face shortages.

MY XLT powerboost 302A got a vin in just over a month, build date in 2 months and delivery should be at the end of 3 months. That is if the build date dont get pushed back, and it very well could.

Options I got are

302A w/ sport appearance
Tow Mirrors
Powerboost w/ 7.2
spray in bed liner
360 camera
Also trailer tow package but that is included in 302a in Canada by default.

I think also what factory yours is sent to can affect the build dates, mine is going through Michigan I think.

interesting, I will call my dealer on Monday about that.

Do you think if I made changes I would get thrown to the back of the line?

With no vin# or build date you're not really in line yet.

The wheel well liners and spray in do NOT slow down th order, unsure about bed cover.
