Angry No backlight from steering wheel

I have a 2021 XLT Powerboost and recently noticed that the lights on my steering wheel do not light up. I looked at the settings and made sure that display brightness was set all the way up, but this didn't make a difference. Everything else works fine. Has anyone ever dealt with this something like this?

Interesting, I have a 21 Lariat 501a. It has never had backlights on steering wheel. 3,500 miles.
I wish it did.

You might want to ask the dealer. This video:
has a 2021 F-150 and if you go to 6:25 of the video you will see the steering wheel has back lights.

They definitely light up. Maybe package dependant? Mine is Lariat 502a.

Go get this checked at the dealer, but don't be surprised if you eventually you don't have backlighting. Ford has been reducing chip use in some models to enable them to keep producing high feature models.

LOL @ dashpot! Fun to hear it, even used incorrectly.

I just noticed... the steering controls have been significantly re-arranged. Can't say I like the non-centered directional control, separating N/S from E/W will screw with navigating menus while driving.

And volume control has been moved to the side away from the radio. That doesn't make sense at all. Right side controlling the center stack, left side controlling the gauge cluster made steering controls a no-brainer.
