Howdy folks. A few days ago, a rock hit my windshield and cracked it up close to where the camera is in the center. I need to know if there are any special things I need to ask for when I take it to the dealership to replace it. I know some vehicles have double glass or acoustic glass or whatever for noise, and in some situations, it's not on all models. What type of glass is on the Lariat? Or are they all the same?

 

Dealers generally hire out glass repair. Recently took mine to Safelite. They allowed me to review the 2 Carlite glass they had in stock. Originally they had me slated for an aftermarket glass, I said no. The 2 they showed me had either FORD or F150 across the top. Neither had the sound screen in the left corner, but the carlite logo indicated it was acoustic. They can make all of the adjustments with the new glass and camera as I know.

Ford, as I recall, sources glass from more than one supplier.
