New build times

Jesus, 6-8months!? Did you mean to say weeks? Have you not gotten the confirmation from Ford that your order was accepted? I ordered in Jan also, got the confirmation text immediately, and have gotten emails directly from Ford updating me along the way. That’s how I know it’s starting next week. It was originally supposed to start production in March but actually got bumped up to next week somehow. I’m order number 499 for anyone else who comes across this post and is following along with their own ticket!
2/14_order confirmed
2/21_Order scheduled for build 5/06
-this has been my timeline thru Granger which from what I've read pretty quickly but lower trim

How long after placing an order with the dealer did you wait to get a VIN? I just placed an order on Monday. I'm not in a rush, I know it's a long process, but I have never done this before. The dealer said it was order R782. TIA

@Jackwithcorona It just depends on if Ford has all of the parts to complete your truck. Depends on the overall build of your truck as well as the trim level.
If you have a bedliner or tonneau cover, Ford does send those offsite to get those done which can take 2-3 weeks for Ford to get it back then shipped as well as their quality process.

So I found the sticky, should have looked there first before posting, my bad. But here is the answer I got, looks like its days to months. Appreciate the help regardless!
- Order Confirmed
- This can happen days to weeks to months after you place the order with the dealer. It depends on your "Priority Code", "Dealer Allotment" and current "Constraints"
- Ford has accepted your order.
- Typically you will get a VIN (from the dealer) and a build week or build day assigned.
- In Order Processing is another status at this point.

@Jackwithcorona depends on the dealerships allocations. We say typically a couple months before getting a VIN, but then again depends on the trim of the truck. Some could take 6 months. Just depends.
