can anybody help me find this piece without having to buy the whole mirror assembly. It’s driving me crazy.

You aren't the first to pull your hair out looking for that piece. I found another article but unfortunately no solution was posted and the one who started the thread isn't very active on here but you may be able to reach out to him and see if he figured anything out since October of last year.
