Need help with steering wheel pushbutton wiring
Sorry, I'll try this again here in the correct forum....
Hello all. On a 2021 F-150, do the steering wheel buttons have their own dedicated wires going through the clock spring cable, or do they all share a ride on some sort of CAN bus? Particularly the "Menu" button. If individual signal wires, which module would they go to? Connector, wire color, etc.? I don't have wiring manuals yet.
Thanks

It's 'complicated' depending on exactly which steering wheel switch function is of interest, if delving into this you really need to subscribe to the Ford Workshop Manual for detailed info on both system operation and wiring diagrams ($22 for 72-hour access at https://www.motorcraftservice.com )
Closer to this. Ignoring wires for switch illumination, all of the functions of the entire right-side steering wheel switch assembly are communicated via only 3 A/D Channel wires through the clockspring. Similar for the left switch assembly.
