Default Mute button and/or other secret SYNC functions

I have a '21 Lariat 502a and I really miss the easy steering wheel mute button from my '17...is there a button combo or way to make this happen from the steering wheel? I know I can just lower the volume...but mute button was better for quicker silence. Also, is there a way to pause carplay or bluetooth audio without using the screen (again, using steering wheel)?

TIA

Yeah I wasn't sure if there's something with a dual function or not. Not a big deal but would be cool to learn of something like this. I saw awhile back that holding the fast forward button and something else (I think) gets you into the SYNC audio testing guide. That was cool to learn and wondering what else may be out there...

Oh man, that sucks to hear. I have left feedback with Ford when they send us surveys for input on future features and that and one had to do with the steering wheel. I remember saying, the Mute button is great, never change, but we really need a Play/Pause since BTAudio/CarPlay is so common, and they can ditch the call/hang up phone buttons. Sounds like they instead ditched Mute, still no play pause. Guessing the stupid call/hang up buttons survived though.

I just press the audio on/off button but this is the same as my previous vehicle (2018 Mazda (cx5) so an easy adjustment. I use the call and hangup buttons constantly so I am very glad they kept them. I do think it's odd that the steering wheel audio controls are divided (volume on the left and source on the right). Overall very easy to use though.

But the call/hang up button is a little confusing because pressing it once accepts every call...do I double tap to ignore call?

I have no problem with the button layout. Everything seems to be fine and I'm not searching for things in a weird place. Just wish we had more functionality.
