Default Music Identification

When playing music in my truck it will display on my screen what is playing as well as the artist. But this is only if the music is playing through my phone. But it doesn't seem to work if I am listening to FM. I know the radio in my 09 Mustang will do it, so I figure it can likely do it in this truck but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do that. Am I missing something or does it not do that?

hmmm depends on the station and how its set up
out here in our woods the 2 fm stations we listen have stopped displaying all the info and replaced it with a long long time of an add for septic or moving services and ambulance chasers.

if i run to dallas i get info on most stations

i use pandora almost 90% of time and it works perfect

Try seeing if your HD Radio Settings are off.

-Go to Settings
-Radio Settings
-Switch HD AM Radio or HD FM Radio On

If that doesn't work you head unit may not have digital radio (HD) capability. I know my truck doesn't have digital radio capability even though I have the 12" Sync system and Sirius XM (Non B&O). Think some other other higher end trucks didn't get HD radio and/or Sirius XM due to chip shortages.
