When the weather is on the cooler side, I will typically bring my dog with me when running errands and need to turn off the motion sensors at shut down or the alarm will go off. That option to turn off the sensor has been acting odd recently. Sometimes it is fine and I can toggle to the off option, select it, and the sensors turn off. Occasionally, however, I toggle to the off option and the window disappears without me actually selecting anything. The motion sensors stay on in those instances. When that happens, I cycle the truck on then off again to get the option to turn off the sensors to reappear. It's annoying to have to do that. Anyone else encountering this? It could have started with an OTA update, but not sure.

 

Change it right away as it goes away as the vehicle shuts down.

 

I wish it was just a matter of timing, but it's not that, unfortunately. At this point I would rather have that feature permanently turned off. It would be nice if it were an option in the Ford Sync menu to permanently do that, but I'm guessing there is some liability issue there. IMO there are several tech features that could use a "permanent" toggle off option.
