Model Year 2022 Completion
In regards to the F-150, how do you see Ford handling the looming end of MY 2022? As we know, order banks for MY 2023 open July 18 with production set to begin on October 10 at Dearborn and October 31 at K.C. Did Ford stop taking MY 2022 orders early enough to complete those orders before retooling for MY 2023 or will there be unfilled 2022 orders that get rolled to MY 2023? Anyone with a 2022 order thinking about also ordering a 2023 as soon as the order banks open, just to be first in line? If Ford rolls 2022 orders to 2023, will those be prioritized over new 2023 orders. Sorry for all the questions, but never been in this type of situation.
Most haven't been in that situation and all you would get here are guesses.
They ended order banks for 2022 pretty early on, they usually keep running pretty close to when 2023 opens. I think they will finish up what is on order.
As a reference for if an order converted to '23 though, that happened for a lot of Mach-E owners and Ford gave them an extra rebate and just converted the orders.
You question about moving to "the front of the line" doesn't make sense with how vehicles are built. They will almost certainly be among the earliest selected for builds, but there is no line. Orders are picked and produced based on part supply, plant of production, area of delivery, and a bunch of other variables.

Changes were minimal between 2021 and 2022 and some got the rebate but later discovered their stand-alone options were no longer such as box lighting. It was now a part of the bed utility package. Too late.
So if yours gets converted to 2023, read the window sticker like a hawk and make sure you're getting everything you asked for!
