Default Missing Auto High Beam Option

I have a new to me 2022 F150 Lariat and the sticker says I have the auto high beam option.

It doesn't automatically turn off the brights and there is no option in the vehicle settings area in the screen.

Am I missing something or did Ford miss programming this feature?

The auto dim and auto on/off is turned on and off by the “Auto” position on the headlight switch. Did you purchase the truck new? If not, someone could have used Forscan to enable “Glare Free,” which is not as obvious as it only dims the headlights in the direction of oncoming cars.

From the 2021 owners manual. I believe you have to cycle the high beam switch to get it in the correct mode. The dash icon changes.

Ah, that is interesting and I have not tried that. The light switch is always in auto so that is not the case.

It is just weird that there is no setting in the menu to turn auto dimming on or off like mentioned in the manual.

I will definitely try the stalk 3 times method and see if that works.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting that. I do not have that AUTO HIGH BEAM option. That is why I wondered if the software was missing.

I need to try the stalk method above first. Maybe if the option is turned off in that manner it disappears from the screen menu.

Maybe because Platinum has the upgraded headlights?

Deleted option? That was still a thing in ‘22, right?
