Default Magic Box

I was curious if anyone here was using the Magic Box product that plugs into your USB port and allows you to use streaming apps, like NetFlix, YouTube, Disney, etc on your screen (while driving).

https://trymagicbox.com/

It says it is compatible with Fords to 2023.

And a review of both

It works well in mine. Others watch it. If I dared look at the screen for even a few seconds, my truck would start flashing all kinds of stuff and then everybody would yell at me to get my eyes back on the road.

Default Have to return it

I ordered the Magic Box and could only get limited use out of it. I have a month-old F150 Lariat with all the latest downloads.

I followed all the instructions but it seemed I had to use CarPlay in lue of Android Auto. The only way I could find the "enlarge" button offered on the screen was when I used my wife's iPhone but then I had to disconnect it to plug in the Magic Box.

Too much trouble to get it to work but it never went full screen anyway. Not going to watch it on a partial screen.

Good luck trying it but it flopped for me. Checking on other options.

It does work while driving.

I have the original Magic Box and I do use it mainly to stream ESPN. I have the 21 Powerboost and the issue is it doesn't go full screen even with the latest Power-Up update that does full screen AA and CP. The newest Magic Box 2.0 will go full screen.
I tried to manually update the Android Version on the original Magic Box but no luck there it uses a custom launcher and I didn't take the time dig into it to see how challenging it would be to change the launcher. I would definitely buy the newer version but knowing they don't provide updates or support it's hard to invest in another one and be out $700 for it to be obsolete in another 6 months. I wouldn't mind purchasing and paying a minimal fee for upgrades but the last update for mine was the original release over a year ago.
I hope this helps.

Great. That's all we need....7000+ pound vehicles hurtling down the road while Captain Crunch is watching Toy Story on his screen.

Best product out there is this:

https://naviks.com/i-24077256-2021-2...t-trailer.html

It's not the cheapest and it's not the easiest to install. But, it works full-screen and it works via HDMI from your phone so there is zero loss in audio/video quality and no lag from a bluetooth connection. It also has multiple inputs, so you can also use it to add a wireless trailer camera so you can see what's behind your boat/trailer while towing, or anything else you can think of (video game console, dvd/bluray player, TV tuner, etc). All you do is hold the "back" button on the steering wheel for a second and it switches from the Sync screen to the HDMI interface module, and hold the button again to go back.

I've used Naviks in the past in other vehicle, and they make a great product and have an awesome support team to help with the install.
