Hey guys,

I picked up my new F-150 on Wednesday and drove it at night for the first time last evening.

I noticed the driver information screen buttons (the buttons on the right of the steering wheel) were backlit, but the media menu buttons (the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel) were not backlit.

it seemed strange to me, but maybe it’s by design? Are your media buttons backlit?

As this does not appear to be a 'life threatening' issue, my advice would be to drive it a few more weeks to see how everything goes / works.
You might discover something else that you'd like addressed as well..
Then, let the Dealer fix it.

Slvr makes a great point and I agree, definitely drive it a few more weeks and make a list if necessary. I found most things that initially annoyed me don't anymore or have worked themselves out.

For what it is worth, those buttons are supposed to illuminate. They do on my XLT, so add it to the list lol!

 

I would call (or go by ) the service GM and tell him what is going on and see if that part is readily available, if that is what is needed. With all of the parts shortages right now, I would get things fixed as soon as needed when the parts are available.
