Changed out the incandescent bulbs on my brand new truck and the bulb holder was already heat burnt:



New LED:



Ford really cheaped out on this one....

Do you still have halogen bulbs in your cargo lights on the back of the cab? Check those too. They usually start to melt the inside plastic on the upper side just above the bulbs.

Even for Lariat? Same 194WLED bulbs?

I see a company selling Ford cargo LED bulbs.. it says...

NOTE: These bulbs are not compatible with models equipped with "remote start" from the factory. These bulbs will not replace factory LEDs.

Went with the Phillips 168LED lamp which is slightly shorter.

Plenty of illumination.
