Default Leveling Explained

As I am new to the F150 and truck landscape, I see lots of threads and information regarding leveling our trucks. Is this mainly a cosmetic adjustment as to fix the rake or does it significantly improve ride. Thanks

Mainly to remove the rake. Level kits generally don’t improve the ride quality at all. Maybe the higher end ones do or at least maintain it.

Leveling will have a negative impact on ride quality. It varies...slightly higher less noticeable, maximum height most noticeable. Some feel the ride quality is unchanged, others will tell you how dramatic of a change it is.

People level because they prefer the look and offers clearance for larger tires.

People do this for two reasons, basically

1. Reduce the cosmetic weirdness of the extreme factory rake

2. Fit larger tires and/or wheels that are offset farther out

A mild, say 1.5-2", level with simple puck spacers should not have a noticeable impact on ride quality either way
