Default Leather seats

This is my first truck with leather seats, a 2023 BAP xlt. I was wondering what you all can recommend to clean, preserve and protect them. What’s the opinion on armor all leather wipes for quick maintenance?

thanks.

Don’t do anything. Damp cloth is all you need if it gets dirty. These leather are heavily coated. You’re wasting money.

What color are your seats ? Damp cloth , maybe some mild soap is just fine, but light colored seats and some types of blue jeans makes it interesting.
Not sure it is real leather anyhow.

I wouldn't use anything from Armor All on anything I wanted to keep.

As stated a clean damp cloth. If you need to do a little cleaning then a bit of saddle soap has worked for me. I then use Jax Wax leather conditioner.

Ford has approved leather products listed in the owners manual. You can’t go wrong with that.

the seats are black. I’ve also heard not to use any type of conditioner when the seats are warm or in sunlight. Is there any truth to this?

leave the wipes on the shelf.
i have had true nappa leather on my last two (non ford) vehicles and i highly recommend the Gyeon leather cleaning and protection line. Even the strong cleaner is mild, won’t disturb the coating, but will lift dirt, grease, and stains when applied per instructions and in multiple coats. I’m not convinced the whole F-150 seat is leather, as in Australia, our Lariat is listed as “leather accented seats”. The coating is also durable in this kit, and will return your leather (or leather like) surfaces to a clean and matte finish, non greasy too.

Keep in mind that today's leather in these trucks and most vehicles are clear coated so the damp rag works. Think of it like the clear coat on your paint. I like a mild cleaner and also a protectant especially if it lives outside. Adams interior cleaner for example is mild and smells amazing. You cant over use it really and it lays a minimal amount of protection and keeps the leather looking like new. It's anti static properties keep the dust down too. I mention this one because it's simple and can be used on everything interior except carpet etc. There are many great products. No Armor all anything.
