Default Leak from top of back window

See original post below the new post:
We have the truck at Ford today. They did a "car wash" test and found no leaks (hahahaha) the tech says the water is coming from behind the sub-woofer hole that we plugged up and installed a new sub-woofer. When the tech pulled out the foam behind, where the original sub-woofer was, water came out, like it was a plug holding back the water. He said that is the problem. We need to put the original one back. My question is why would water be trapped behind that area and if we put the original sub-woofer back or completely sealed up the hole, what is going to stop the rain water from getting behind there and just staying? Does anyone know if there are one or two layers of metal, with air space between the metal, behind the cab, between the bed? Anyone else hear of this?

Original Post: We have a 2022 Lariat 4 x 4 Supercrew.. Seems to be leaking from top of the back window and running down (mostly) the right side under the front door well, where the wiring harness runs. There is so much water that both passenger and driver side have very wet carpeting and padding. We have used about 20 towels to soak up all the water.
Does anyone have this same problem and know the solution to fix this? Thank you

Are you certain it's coming from the back window, and not the rear pressure relief vents for the cab? Those vents are a common point of leaks.

My windshield was leaking from new and required a re-seal due to missing adhesive. Quality control has gone way down on new vehicles in my opinion, should never have to take delivery of a new vehicle with issues!!

Yes, it could be coming from the rear pressure vents, but we don't know where they are located. There was a lot of condensation at the top of the rear window. We have an appointment at Ford on the 22nd. Hope they can figure it out. Thanks for your thoughts on this.

My Ram had a leak in the CHMSL. A touch of silicone seal put a stop to that.

F150's in the past have been known to leak around the 3rd brake light. New foam gasket would cure it.

Do yourself a favor and pressure test your cabin to find what is actually leaking. You can do that by making sure all windows are up. With the engine running turn the AC on to max (outside air) then pour soapy water over entry points and look for bubbles.

I attached a picture of the test on my old 2010.

The rear pressure relief vents are behind the back seat down towards the lower outside corner of each side of the truck. As you had mentioned the leak still could be coming from the rear window, or as another has mentioned from the 3rd brake light, but with this generation of F150 it seems most complaints are from the vents.

I had the condensation as well in my truck with the windshield leak. The condensation gives you an idea of where the leak may be but my experience it always seems to build at the highest point in the truck.

Hope your dealer can get it resolved for you. You or they will likely need to lift the carpet or remove it and use a dehumidifier to completely dry it out. I found just placing a dehumidifier in the truck didn't do enough to dry down through the carpet layers.
