Default Lariat vs Platinum

Question - about to pull trigger on 2021 Platinum, but question about co pilot 360. On the Platinum I am about to pull the trigger on it does not mention having the co pilot 360 assist 2.0 only the "prep pkg". However on the Lariat it mentions having the co pilot 360 assist 2.0. I am showing the two window stickers below - I am just confused if the Lariat has it but the Platinum doesn't I am interested in the lane keeping assist now (like the Volvo has) - I test drive the Platinum and the truck did keep itself centered in it's lane but did not take curves as well as the Volvo. I know the prep pkg is for the system to be released late 2021 but I like the lane keeping assist as it does help on long drives. Apologies if my question is not clear.

Also assuming the X plan is as good as your going to get on pricing?

Prep Package will have Lane Centering Assist.

Co-Pilot 360 ASSIST 2.0 is standard on Platinum. Co-Pilot ACTIVE is an option that is included on Platinum 701A and is available on 502A. They are different. ASSIST 2.0 is lane assist, adaptive cruise, etc. ACTIVE is hands free driving on mapped divided highways.

X-Plan is a few hundred dollars under invoice. There are dealers offering better than that e.g. Albert @ Granger Ford in Iowa is at Invoice minus 3%, see this post Who's Albert?. Which for a loaded Lariat or Platinum is more than $1,500 less than X-Plan ... Although that is for ordering a truck, I doubt you'll get that discount on a dealer with a truck ready-to-sell? But it's a useful reference!

i would think the co pilot 360 2.0 would be listed under ¨functional¨ since its standard equipment. the active 2.0 prep is like a step below self driving, not quite that point but pretty close

Active 2.0 prep is the self driving package. It's just stating you have the hardware for when they roll out the software OTA. Until then, you get Adaptive Cruise, and Lane Centering

Both packages do lane centering, but the ACTV 2.0 prep kit will do hands free when ford releases the software the other won’t.

If you do not get the "Active Prep" you will not get the 4 sensors on the front bumper of the infrared face/eye detection cameras in the dash. I (and others on forums) don't think this can be added later once the truck has been built.

One additional note: You kind of get the party trick "Parking Assist" feature/button for "free" with the active prep package. So that gives something fun for your $995 while waiting for the auto-pilot software.

There is a pretty big price difference in the 2. Im going with 701A due to prep package and nicer leather. If I could get the platinum seats in a lariat I would go 502A as the sport package looks better than platinum. Then again when you change the wheels on the platinum they look bad ***

Assist is standard on 502A and up, correct? Is it possible to have a truck with active that does not also include assist?

I wish they had a clearing naming convention; I find this almost as confusing as the tow packages!
