When I was on the builder a few months ago building a 26 Lariat I could not get bed lighting unless I had the bed utility package which had the pro access tailgate which I don't want. So if I decide to order I'll just buy the factory add on kit or an aftermarket version.
Been there done that! Ordered a 2026 Lariat and learned what has already been said here. The only way to get bed lights on a Lariat is to order the Utility Package which comes with the Pro Gate. Like Stealthservices I didn't want the Pro Gate. I did however want the pull out step but that too is not available in the 2026 Lariat! You can order both the lights and the step on the XLT but not the Lariat. Ford is pushing those Pro Gates for what ever reason? Back to the lights. If you go with OEM and install yourself you will also need to have someone turn them on with Forscan. If you go aftermarket kits you don't get the On/Off switch in the back, you have to pull down your headliner, open third brake light and they come on with each door opening. My 2016 has OEM bed lights and having the switch in the back is a must, well at least for my needs it is. They used to have a "Convenience Light Package" and you would think it would come with a Lariat?
