If you have a actual key but lost the FOB...how can you start the vehicle AND drive away ? i know you can start it with the phone BUT you cannot get it into gear with just the phone. Like if you are hundreds of miles away ..your in the truck....../what do you do ??

Are you talking about the Key-less FOB? How to you have a key and not the FOB?

Also you start the truck with your phone but no FOB in truck. I don't think you can even move the shifter??? I know my 2015 I made this happen with FORScan but I think it's a thing in all these newer trucks.

If you have the key-less system and no FOB I don't think you are going anywhere. If the FOB is dead you can place it in that special place and start the truck.

Example My wife's Rav4 is key-less. If FOB is 100% dead. You use the hard key to get in and that car you use your FOB and hit the star button with the FOB.

.
If you are just thinking out loud. Go try it and report back...

If you are hundreds of miles away from your FOB and can't go anywhere. It would be time to call a lock smith. LOL

Good Luck.

Short answer is "Your SOL". You will need a lock smith or dealer, to make a new FOB.

If you have two fobs now, buy a third, get key cut and program the third one yourself before this event occurs. You’ll save a couple hundred over having a locksmith or dealer have to program your spare fob.

Buy a 3rd fob no matter what.

I have keyless start so I don't think it's important to have a 3rd physical key.

I have a disassembled fob in my truck so if I should lose my EDC fob, I can get into my truck via the door keypad, retrieve the disassembled fob and either assemble the fob or put it into the fob cubby to operate the truck.

I'm in a weird situation where I have 5 fobs...4 are programmed to truck, which is the limit lol

This one reminds me to take BOTH fobs when I on a road trip solo. When wifey comes, she takes the other fob.
