Contact Grainger at the e-mail address given above in Zach@Grainger's post above in this thread. If you go on Ford.com and build the truck you want, you can just send that to Grainger and they will send you their quote. Then you decide if you want to go with them or deal with your local dealership. They won't pressure you.

I see a lot of talk about the good prices with Granger, but what about trade in values. Are they better than many dealerships in that respect? Do they give the highest value or better for your trade than other dealerships in addition to the lower price on their vehicle?

I've never seen any complaints about their trade-in offers which suggests they must be fair; but if you are expecting retail value for your trade-in, it's probably not going to happen. Best and easiest way to find out, if you are in the market for a vehicle, is to do the quote request thing; the quote won't cost you a dime.

A lot of folks on the forum prefer to sell their old vehicle on their own since that can beat any dealer's trade-in value every time.

Actually I am not sure how your sales tax works here in regards to vehicle sales.

This begs a question. In the US when you trade a vehicle in, do you pay your sales tax if applicable on the complete new vehicle price or only on the difference between the trade allowance and final cost.

In Ontario the trade in can create a huge difference in the final cost because of the allowance. In most cases you can't sell privately and end up in the same spot unless you get big money for it.

This. In Arkansas, we only pay sales tax on the trade difference. Huge help.

Bought a 2023 Lariat from them recently, finally pulled the trigger and closed the deal the first week of January. I WAS a bit concerned buying a vehicle remotely but it went fine. They gave me 11.7% off sticker on a truck already on their lot and after paying to have it shipped to Delaware (don't blame me, I have never ever voted for It!) I was still 10.6% off sticker.
Best local offer in the Mid Atlantic coast was 3.7% off sticker with 5.9% Ford financing for 60 m0nths, local dealer told me it was the best they could do even though my credit score is a bit over 800. Granger got me 2.9% for 60 months. Local dealer wasn't just going to gouge me on the price but on the financing too.
I 100% recommend Granger, if I buy another new vehicle they will be the very first place I check.
As a side note, I can not believe all the things this 2023 has compared to my 2004 XLT that it is replacing, just unbelievable the advances in the truck and that 5.0 L engine is a beast, seems to be far superior to the 4.6L in my '04 F150!

I hate to sound like suchh a noob, but how do you get that deal from Granger? What I mean is, do you ask for bottom dollar on their truck and they come back with the 11.7% off, or do you look at whatever they already have off the truck and offer less? I have never been good at negotiating and when I get my next truck it will be my retirement truck so I want to use Granger to get the best deal. I have maintained an 850 credit score for so long and always get 0% financing for 60 mos so it kills my soul that doesn't seem to be coming back.

@Ford1973
I went to their website and looked at the F150s they show in stock. Narrowed it down by looking for the few specific things that I wanted, i.e. 4x4, crew cab w/ 5.5' bed, and the 5.0L V8. Found several there like this, clicked the "confirm availibilty" link and filled out the form. Got a call from a salesman named Hunter who told me the prices on their website are for the region there, told me Ford does incentives/rebates/etc. by geographic region and told me if I give him my address he'd get me a quote which came back as I've outlined. I did tell him I'd heard of them from this forum and he seemd familar with that.
Maybe, just MAYBE I could have gotten a similar price closer IF I was willing to go 10 rounds with sales people then the sales manager then the finance manager etc. etc. etc...but I didn't have to negotiate AT ALL for this price. I went zero rounds for this. I was a total noob too, never bought a vehicle before without kicking the tires.
I will say that having it shipped was my biggest concern. I couldn't find any reasonable direct flights from anywhere in the mid atlantic to Des Moine, I'd have to hopscotch flights to get there and it was winter and due to another vehicle being totaled in an accident I found myself needing another vehicle sooner rather than later. Wife and I are considering replacing her '18 Forester with an Expedition in a year or two and if we do that we will plan it out and go get the vehicle from Granger. But in the end the shipping went off fine.

@Ford1973 We have awesome prices on lot vehicles if you are interested in shopping around. However, we are offering 4% under invoice pricing on custom ordered F-150's. You would just build a vehicle that you are wanting on Fords site and then email the build to Ford@grangermotors.com and the team will get you a quote. $1000 deposit and it will show up in 6-9 months! If it's your retirement truck, might as well make your dream one

@jwelch1103 Hunter is an awesome salesman! Glad everything worked out!
