Impressed with 4x4 system
HI all,
Just wanted to pass along a comment about the 4x4 system in my 2021 F-150 Supercab, long bed 4x4 with the 5.0. I love it. I just spent four days at Big Bend Ranch State Park in Texas. My campsite was Los Cuates, located in the Backcountry on a pretty gnarly road. I had no problems accessing the campsite and the remote parts of the park. I went all the way down the Guale Road to the Trail head. I completed the Oso Loop. And I did the Rancherias loop which was an unmaintained road with a few nasty climbs and descents. The 4x4 system switched from 4H to locking the rear differential to 4L without any issues. And I was on the stock LT tires, and the only modification is I added a 2 inch leveling block to the top of the stock struts. I did puncture one tire on the Guale Road after sliding/bouncing on a down hill section but that's what I get for stock tires. I never spun the wheels or lost traction. I was super impressed with how the truck handled it. I know a big part of the way it handled it was the torque produced by the 5.0.
All I have to do now is go buff out the trail pin striping.
