After a fairly long break, I'm back to the F-150 community! I started here over 11 years ago with my very first truck at 15 years old, a 1997 F-150 XLT. I've learned a lot from this community and while it's been a minute since I've been back. I've (mostly) stayed with Ford, but after a total of 7 trucks and 2 cars, I'm now on my 8th truck which is a 2022 F-150 King Ranch! This is the truck I wanted when I bought the Ram, but it is so hard to find a King Ranch with the 5.0 and the 6.5' bed that was in my price range.
I'm very hopeful that this truck will break my streak of getting a different truck every year, as of now I am modifying it but not to the extent that I did my last trucks. No power train work, no lift kits (I am doing a Fox 2.0 leveling kit soon), I already put bead lock wheels from a Raptor on it but opted for 285/70/17 BFG Ko2's instead of going up to 35s. After we level it, the next thing will be getting rid of the chrome. Rear bumper, door handles, and mirrors seem to be pretty easy but the front bumper looks like I'll need to find a painted bumper on marketplace. The window trim I'm not sure of, hopefully that will be an easy thing to replace but I haven't looked too far into it just yet.
Nice truck.I would love to have a King Ranch with a 5.0! You can’t get them new anymore and it’s not easy to find a used one. Most of the used low mileage King Ranches are PowerBoosts or ECOBOOSTs that are for sale.
