Default HVAC U2024 code

HVAC U2024 code
I know some people have solved this with a firmware update using FRDS or Forscan. I ran into a problem when I tried with Forscan.

My module had the most current version of the firmware so I wasn’t sure what to do but my OCD wouldn’t let it go. I decided to try force overwriting the firmware with the same(most current)version.
It worked and I think the reason was the ECM has the old module information stored in it and when I overwrote the HVAC Forscan also updated the ECM with the current HVAC module information. No more code
Hopefully this helps someone else at some point. I know I searched all over for information about this code and now it should show up in google.

Not sure what your point is, I got mine fixed. That was my point in posting, so anyone else who has this code can fix it.

Hey Joe, could you tell us the procedure for forcing the update with Forscan?

Thank you,

Thank you,
You need the beta version of Forscan(paid extended license users only can access it), read the procedures COMPLETELY on the Forscan forum. When you go into the firmware update page in Forscan find the check box at the bottom that says force update all and check it. Then run the firmware update. Make sure to follow ALL instructions including which obd adapters they recommend or you can brick the module.
