How do do grille guards affect the functionality of the front camera? Specifically the ones with a screen/mesh in front of the grille area Does it screw up any of the adaptive cruise control functions , pre collision assist or any other functions controlled by the camera? My truck doesnt have any front sensors in the bumper and all the advanced driver assistance functions use the camera only

 

Depends on the brand. Here is a link to Ranch Hands grill guards, and the Ford page where they offer identical guards, only one is rated to not interfere with cameras, etc. Best to make sure you go to the home page after and insert the appropriate model and year of your truck for accuracy.
