I live along a stretch of highway that has rock trucks on it all the time, my last truck hood was completely pot marked with chips in the paint, is there anything I can put on my new one to protect it? I don’t really want something that sticks out, are there clear protectors?

I see diy ppf kits out there, anyone had any luck with them?
