I'm getting 20 miles to the gallon combined driving with my V8 5.0 Coyote and as high as 24 highway. Gas mileage shouldn't be a factor. Much depends on his preference and may be the most important thing for a guy if you can pick his brain first to find out. If I were he, there would be no question about it. V8 for me and the bigger the better.

EB doesn’t have the new cylinder deactivation like the new 5.0 has. New features for the 5.0 to question.

Simple if a road warrior do a max tow package with the standard 5/0 engine.

A King ranch is a little more flexible on how the vehicle is equipped.

If you are chrome people the 601a King Ranch & chrome package will get you there.

Platinum painted bumpers no chrome bumpers.

Platinum 701a covers most options..

If he is tall like here and wears a hat well he won't in a sunroof equipped truck.

Good luck;

That's pretty nice of you!

However, if I were in the market for a truck, especially a higher trim level like the KR, I'm not sure I'd be excited if my wife (I'm not married) purchased a $70,000 vehicle "for me" and having it be the incorrect one. Unless she and I had looked and picked one out on the lot together, chances are there would be something pretty major wrong with the really big purchase.

No way would a person make the correct motor decision for ME unless I'd already communicates "My next truck with have such and such motor, no questions asked".
Then there is a rear end choice and color choice and.......

If you're spending that much to get a premium trim, why not spend and get the premium engine option? The Powerboost beats both the regular 3.5 and 5.0. I don't think you could go wrong with it.

I would have totally bought a Powerboost if they would have offered it with a full size bed. (It’s only available with the supercrew, meaning 6.5' or 5.5' shortbeds only.)
