Hey guys. I have been reading up these LED replacements. Can you help me out I have a 2015. It's just a daily but I keep it nice. My OEM bulbs are done. I can barely see at night. I was going to replace with some halogens from the parts store then found some of these drop in LED's. Some have fans, and basters, and all kinds of ****. Then some are just direct replacements for like $60 with no fan. I was going to high/low and fog. Can you get away with spending $120 on these or is there really value in spending $400?

Maybe because those who have tried getting any meaningful additional light output from any other drop in halogen bulb for the OEM headlight assembly know it's a waste of time.

9011 replaces 9005 High beam
Move your stock 9005 bulbs into the fogs, replacing the stock 9140/H10 bulbs.

Requires some minor trimming on the bulbs but its not difficult and as long as you adjust your assemblies properly, you will have a lot more lumens hitting the road.

I did this mod to my 22 and it made a big improvement to my visibility.. I also did adjust the head lights and fog lights.. they seemed to be aimed very low on my truck.

I did the easy headlight mod with the Philips bulbs on my 2019. To my eyes it was a very big improvement over the stock bulb configuration, definitely brighter. I ran the replacement configuration for almost 5 years. If I recall correctly I may have had to replace maybe 5 or 6 bulbs over those 5 years.

I took some advice that I found here on the forum and checked the headlight aim, could not believe how inconsistent it was. I can't remember the exact process but was something like 25 feet back and maybe 36" from the ground for the proper cutoff. I went to the local shopping center where there is a nice flat lot in the back, put some tape on the wall and in a few minutes adjusted to real nice pattern. The adjustment alone made a big difference. The fog lights did not need any adjusting.

It is hard to compare the dull yellowish light of the halogens to the very crisp white light of the LED's.

I will be taking delivery of a new to me 2020 next week and since I have some of the halogen bulbs leftover from my 2019 I am going to install those but I have been looking into the possibility of going to the LED replacement bulbs.
