hard downshift from 5th
I am getting a hard downshift from 5th gear when the temperatures are cold outside (-10 C). usually only does it once. thought I was hit from behind but there was no one behind me. Should I be concerned about this? anyone else notice this?
I have noticed something like that. I have had it one month. Not sure what gear it was in though. As I was braking it seemed to lock the rear wheels momentarily on what may have been a down shift.
I was thinking that the down shift may soften over time as it get broken in.

Ford forum bot has yet to prove valuable. Don’t bother.
the weird thing about these ten speeds is that the shift is great most of the time. But as many have observed, it’s on downshifts that it intermittently screws up and shifts hard.

My 2021 trans was great until it was pulled to replace the electric drive motor (includes a new torque converter). After that it was junk and wasn't fixable. Reflashed... No change. I dumped it as soon as I could get something to replace it. That was a long time because of the stupid shutdown.
