Default GlassParency Windshield Coating

I'm taking my KR in on Monday for a ceramic coating. The detail shop is pushing GlassParency windshield coating for an extra $100
Does anyone have thoughts - either pro or con - on windshield coatings?

if you are spending the money for a ceramic coating, the extra 100 bucks is pennies IMO

What is it, and what does it do?

Not worth it. If you were concerned you could PPF the windshield they have special PPF for that. Not sure I would do that on a truck though, personally. On a show car/sports car I would consider it.

They did my windshield for free when I had my truck Ceramic Coated. I like it, I live in Florida and it really helps during thunderstorms and also the hurricane earlier this week.

Depends on where you live. If it was up here in Canada, I wouldn't bother. Windshield will be more cratered than a greasy teenage kids face by the end of winter.

I have used Glassparancy and like it OK. But for me it's way cheaper and easier to use Optimum Opti seal spray on at every wash of the truck. It lasts a long time but goes on easy like glass cleaner so its super easy to do.
